Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Plaza, our consumer shopping and product discovery experience available at www.shopplaza.ai and through related Plaza app experiences.

1. Introduction And Acceptance

Welcome to Plaza. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Aptics, Inc. ("Aptics," "we," "us," or "our").

Plaza is a consumer shopping and product discovery experience available at www.shopplaza.ai and through related Plaza app experiences. Plaza helps users discover products, build shopping preferences, save products, receive recommendations, and click through to retailers, merchants, or partner offers.

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, tapping to proceed, clicking "I Agree," accessing, or using Plaza, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Plaza.

2. Eligibility, Truthful Information, And Your Commitments

To use Plaza, you must be located in the United States, be at least 18 years old, and be able to enter into a binding contract. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, tapping to proceed, clicking "I Agree," accessing, or using Plaza, you represent that you meet these requirements.

You agree to provide truthful, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself when registering for, joining the waitlist for, or using Plaza, including your contact information, account information, and preference information. You agree to keep this information updated and current.

You may not allow another person to use your Plaza account, transfer your account to anyone else, or share your login credentials with others. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify Aptics promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Plaza is not intended for anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may not create, authorize, or allow a Plaza account for a person under 18. If you are under 18, do not use Plaza or submit personal information to Plaza.

3. What Plaza Does

Plaza is designed to support preference-led shopping discovery and decision-making. Plaza may provide product recommendations, product-discovery content, preference-based experiences, merchant links, sale or availability context, price-drop context, saved-product experiences, and related shopping information.

We aim to provide useful information, but we do not guarantee that recommendations, prices, promotions, availability, descriptions, merchant details, or other product information are complete, current, accurate, or suitable for every user.

You are responsible for evaluating products, merchants, prices, promotions, shipping terms, return policies, and purchase decisions before completing any transaction with a third party.

4. Affiliate And Referral Links

Aptics may participate in affiliate, referral, or partner programs. This means Aptics may earn commissions or other compensation when users click certain links, visit merchant sites, or make purchases through partner links.

Affiliate links and partner offers may appear in Plaza recommendation flows, product discovery pages, search results, product cards, saved-product experiences, and related consumer experiences where relevant. Aptics discloses affiliate relationships where appropriate. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more information.

Affiliate commissions do not change the price you pay.

5. Third-Party Merchants And Services

Plaza may link to third-party websites, merchants, products, services, or offers. Aptics does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, products, services, prices, promotions, fulfillment, shipping, returns, customer support, privacy practices, or security.

Your transactions with third parties are solely between you and the relevant third party. Review third-party terms, policies, pricing, shipping, returns, and privacy practices before completing a transaction.

6. Accounts, Profiles, Waitlists, And Notifications

Some Plaza features may require an account, profile, invite, waitlist registration, or app access. You agree to provide truthful, accurate, current, and complete information and to keep account information updated.

Plaza may allow you to save products, maintain preferences, receive product updates, or receive price-drop or product-related notifications. You can control certain communications and notifications through available settings or by contacting Aptics where applicable.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Plaza for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or infringing purposes.
  • Attempt to access accounts, systems, data, or services without authorization.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, overload, scrape, crawl, copy, harvest, or degrade Plaza or related systems except as permitted by law or with Aptics' written permission.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code or submit false, misleading, infringing, unlawful, or harmful content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from Aptics software except where prohibited by law.

Aptics may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for Aptics, our users, our partners, or third parties.

8. Intellectual Property And User Content

Aptics and its licensors own Plaza, Aptics websites, software, designs, interfaces, workflows, recommendations, algorithms, content, documentation, trademarks, and related intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you ownership rights in Aptics intellectual property.

If you upload or submit content, preferences, feedback, images, saved products, or other materials to Plaza, you represent that you have the rights needed to provide that content. You grant Aptics the rights needed to use it to provide, operate, improve, and support Plaza, subject to our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy

Aptics handles personal information according to the Plaza Privacy Policy at www.shopplaza.ai/privacy.

10. Disclaimers

Plaza is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aptics disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

Aptics does not warrant that recommendations, product information, merchant information, prices, promotions, availability, notifications, or other content will be complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, or suitable for your needs.

11. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aptics will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, lost data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or substitute services, arising from or related to Plaza or these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aptics' total liability for any claim arising from or related to Plaza or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid to Aptics for the applicable paid Plaza service during the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100 if no paid service applies.

12. Changes, Governing Law, And Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of Plaza after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact Aptics at legal@aptics.io and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
